On June 2nd, a press conference was held in Lishui to announce the launch of the Lishui River Co-creation Program. The program aims to promote high-quality development in urban planning, industry development, humanities arts and culture tourism. With a focus on creating a “culture + tourism” water economy innovation demonstration zone, the program will implement four key measures: youth engagement, activation of arts and culture, industry collaboration, and community involvement. Through methods such as rental pricing, fund investment, business alliances, the program aims to attract social capital and create an open co-creation platform between Baiyun and Lishui.
During the event, the Lishui River Cultural and Creative Design Competition was launched, and the cultural and tourism IP were unveiled. The objective was to build Lishui as a brand with localized and innovative IPs, thereby driving the transformation and upgrading of Lishui’s tourism sector and contributing to the development of the “Waterfront City” project.

Lishui invites you to jointly build the brand of Lishui River

Nestled beside the river, the development of Lishui is closely intertwined with water. Today, Lishui River offers a variety of cultural and tourism experiences, laying the foundation for the exploration of its potential as a waterfront economic and cultural tourism ecosystem.

The plan aims to unlock the waterfront potential of Lishui through the involvement of youth, activation of arts and culture, and collaborative creation of industries. The government and social capital will work together to drive innovation, operation and sharing in the Lishui River area.

When it comes to collaboration, many entrepreneurs are eager to know what Lishui can offer. In this regard, Lishui will sustainably provide properties and resources, demonstrating its commitment to the collaborative plan.

One type is tangible resources, including sections of waterways and land available for agricultural, cultural, tourism, and commercial purposes.
The other type is intangible resources, including cultural and sports brand activities, IP brand images, and historical and cultural resources in the town.
Artistic creation, event planning, ecotourism agriculture, tourism-related catering, intangible cultural heritage inheritance… As long as your project has the potential, economic and social benefits, strong driving force, and creativity, you are welcome to join us in co-creation!

With so many shared and collaborative resources in Lishui, you may be wondering how you can participate. There are four ways: rental pricing, fund investment, business alliances, and other methods.

Among them, the most direct and cost-effective method is rental pricing. Participants can exchange a certain period of rent-free period by determining a certain proportion of equity value based on the project’s investment cost. Additionally, participants can also participate in equity distribution by contributing based on the rental value assessed by professional asset evaluation.

Mai Yandong, General Manager of Lishui Tourism Development Group, introduced that currently there are over 40,000 square meters of property and 400,000 square meters of public space along the Lishui River, including attractions like Dreamy Flower Land in Lishui, Lishui Flower Night Wharf, Hongqi Bay in Lishui New City, Agricultural and Cultural Tourism Land in Yanjiang West Road. Lishui warmly invites talents from all over the world to come here for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Zeng Feifan, Deputy Mayor of Lishui Town, mentioned that Lishui River area has unique advantages in terms of location and transportation. It’s a growing agricultural, cultural, and tourism complex, and owns rich historical and cultural heritage. In recent years, Lishui has been making continuous efforts in urban development, cultural heritage, and connectivity with the world.

The Lishui River Co-creation Plan has three main highlights: inviting open collaboration, continuous optimization and incubation, and state-owned assets taking responsibility. In the future, Lishui will establish a comprehensive incubation working group to support more projects in Lishui.

Meanwhile, Lishui will divide the Lishui River area into five major zones: Shuikou Village Water Town New Lifestyle Zone, Dazhou Village Rural New Business Zone, Art Riverbank Urban Entertainment Zone, Lishui Youth Co-creation Zone, and Yushui Bank Cultural and Commercial Tourism Complex Zone. These zones will be developed according to different positioning. Lishui has invited professors from different industries as the first batch of participants, aiming to attract more social capital to participate in co-creation.
Lishui Cultural and Creative Design Competition to empower cultural and tourism development

In addition, Lishui will launch a cultural and creative design competition, dedicated to designers, individuals, companies, institutions, and students in the design industry nationwide. Participants can participate in the form of individuals, teams, or organizations.

The design theme must involve Lishui’s “Three Flowers and One Fish” (Lily Flower, Butterfly Orchid, Bougainvillea, and Koi), cultural and tourism IP, iconic architecture, as well as the packaging design of industrial, agricultural, and cultural and creative products. The entries must be original and should demonstrate creativity, artistic value, manufacturability, and market potential. The designs can be related to stationery, daily necessities, packaged food, fashion accessories, personal care and cosmetics, souvenirs and gifts, trendy toys, etc.

“The main goal of the competition is to empower Lishui’s products with cultural and tourism elements,” introduced Mai Yandong. In the first half of this year, sales of cultural and creative products such as Zhanqi Pavilion Building blocks and ice cream exceeded 600,000 yuan. It is hoped that through the  competition, more vendible products will be created. In the future, a platform for connecting multiple supply and production chains will also be established.

At the conference, Lishui also launched a brand new cultural and tourism IP called Lily and Yoyo. Lily is designed as a small goldfish that loves traveling and traditional culture. Yoyo, on the other hand, is a bold and innovative goldfish, lively and vibrant, who loves technology, innovation, and challenges. The design combines traditional culture with innovative elements, creating a new vision that showcases the intersection and integration of Lishui’s historical culture and the modern elements.
