Lishui Introduction

　　Lishui is located at the north of Nanhai District Foshan City. It covers the total area of 148.28 square kilometers with 114.7 thousand registered permanent residents of Lishui, and about 135 thousand migrant residents. There are 34 villagers committees and 2 residents committees. In 2008, Lishui’s GDP reached 16.5 billion yuan, with tax revenue of 1.808 billion yuan, disposable income of 1.289 billion yuan, investment in fixed assets of 6.8 billion yuan, and 10753 yuan per capita net income of farmers.

　　Lishui enjoys a great geographical advantage in transportation.  It is located at the northeast part of Foshan, bounded on the east by Guangzhou. It is only around 10 kilometers away from the center of Foshan. Therefore, Lishui is able to make of most of the two cities’ resources and benefits from the industrial transition. In Lishui, there are Guangfo Highway, Foshan First Beltway, Guangzhou Beltway, Guangzhou Huanan Highway Phase 3 and other highway lines, which comprise a perfect transportation network. Lishui is 20 kilometers away from the Guangzhou Baiyun International airport. Also it only takes 20 minutes to get the Guangzhou Train Satation, Sanshan container harbor and Pingzhou Passenger Terminal, making Lishui geographically convenient for import and export.
